Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Food Blog Studio (the “Service”), operated by Food Blog Coaching, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Food Blog Studio is an AI-powered platform for food bloggers that provides:

• Writer: AI-assisted content generation including blog posts, FAQs, intros, social media captions, email newsletters, email subject lines, meta descriptions, internal linking, and video voiceover scripts
• Toolkit: Tools including SOP creation, content focus planning, and recipe-to-JSON conversion
• Personalization: Ideal Reader Profile and Voice Tone Profile builders, writing sample uploads, and sitemap import to customize AI responses
• Analytics Dashboard (optional): Connect your Google Analytics and Search Console accounts read-only to view traffic and search insights about your own blog
• Community Backlinks (Food Blog Coaching members only): An optional feature that lets participating Food Blog Coaching members share their published posts and discover posts shared by other members for linking purposes. This feature is not part of the standard subscription

3. Account Registration

To use our Service, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account use
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove content at our sole discretion.

4. Subscription, Billing, and Usage Limits

4.1 Subscription and Fees

Access to the Service requires a paid subscription. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor (Stripe) to charge the applicable subscription fee on a recurring basis (for example, monthly or annually) according to the plan you select.

4.2 Billing and Renewal

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your full card details
• Free trials, where offered, automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial period ends
• We may change subscription fees with reasonable advance notice; changes apply to subsequent billing periods

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access until then.

4.4 Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable. When you cancel, you will not be charged for future billing periods, but you will not receive a refund for the current period.

4.5 Usage Limits

Your use of the Service is also subject to usage limits:

• Weekly Allocation: Each account receives a weekly allocation of AI processing capacity. Current limits are enforced within the Service, are shown on your Settings page as usage against your allocation, and may vary as we tune the Service
• Output Allocation: As a fair-use safeguard, generated output is also subject to a weekly output-token allocation
• Reset Schedule: Token limits reset on a weekly basis
• Fair Use: Excessive or abusive usage may result in temporary or permanent restrictions

We reserve the right to modify usage limits at any time with reasonable notice.

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (“User Content”), including recipes, blog posts, and other materials. By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

5.2 Google User Data

The license you grant us in Section 5.1 does not extend to data we access through Google APIs on your behalf when you connect the optional Analytics Dashboard. That data is governed solely by the Google User Data section of our Privacy Policy, including its Limited Use commitments, and you can disconnect Google at any time.

5.3 AI-Generated Content

Content generated by our AI tools based on your inputs is provided for your use. You may use, modify, and publish AI-generated content. However, you acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may not be unique and similar content may be generated for other users
• You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI-generated content before publishing
• AI-generated content should not be relied upon for nutritional, medical, or safety advice without professional verification

5.4 Content Restrictions

You agree not to submit content that:

• Violates any applicable law or regulation
• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Contains harmful, abusive, or offensive material
• Attempts to manipulate or abuse our AI systems

5.5 Community Backlinks

Community Backlinks is available only to Food Blog Coaching members and is not included in the standard subscription. If you enable sitemap sharing in Community Backlinks, you authorize us to display your first and last name, your blog's name and domain, and the titles and URLs of published posts from your sitemap to other participating members. You agree to only share sitemaps for blogs you own or control. You can turn sharing off at any time, and we may remove listings or disable the feature for any account at our discretion. Whether and how you link to other members' posts is your own editorial decision, and you are responsible for complying with applicable search engine guidelines.

6. Anthropic Usage Policy

Important:

Our Service uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate content. By using Food Blog Studio, you also agree to comply with Anthropic's Usage Policy.

6.1 Your Obligations

You agree to:

• Use the AI features in accordance with Anthropic's Acceptable Use Policy
• Not attempt to use our Service to generate content that violates Anthropic's policies
• Not attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with any AI safety measures

6.2 Prohibited Uses Under Anthropic's Policy

You may not use our AI features to:

• Generate illegal content
• Create content that promotes violence or hatred
• Generate misleading content intended to deceive
• Create content that exploits or harms minors
• Engage in unauthorized practice of law, medicine, or other licensed professions
• Generate spam or malicious content

6.3 Enforcement

Violations of Anthropic's Usage Policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, in addition to any actions taken by Anthropic.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Food Blog Coaching. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used without our prior written consent.

8. Third-Party Services

Our Service uses third-party providers including:

• Anthropic (Claude AI): Powers our AI content generation
• Firebase (Google): Authentication and data storage
• Stripe: Subscription billing and payment processing
• Vercel: Hosting infrastructure and analytics
• Resend: Transactional email delivery

Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and policies of these third-party providers.

9. Disclaimers

9.1 Service Provided “As Is”

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9.2 AI Content Disclaimer

We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be:

• Accurate, complete, or error-free
• Suitable for any particular purpose
• Free from factual errors or hallucinations
• Compliant with food safety regulations

Important: Always verify recipe instructions, cooking temperatures, and food safety information before publishing or following any AI-generated recipes.

9.3 No Professional Advice

The Service does not provide nutritional, medical, legal, or professional advice. Consult appropriate professionals for such matters.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Food Blog Coaching, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the Service
• Any content obtained from the Service
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any third-party conduct on the Service

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Food Blog Coaching and its affiliates from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including Anthropic's Usage Policy; or (d) your User Content.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms or Anthropic's Usage Policy. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service will cease immediately
• We may delete your account and associated data
• Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
